CHARLES JOSEPH URBANIAK passed away Thursday, November 29, 2002. Chuck was born in Chicago, Ill., on Feb. 10, 1920, to Jozefa & Valentine Urbaniak. He is preceded in death by his sister, Millie, and brothers Edward, Ben and Joseph. During World War II, he was stationed at Ellington Air Base. After the war, he had a very successful tavern in Chicago. Chuck moved to Houston and married Louise E. Brisch on September 27, 1958. He became established with American National Insurance Company, and was consistently a top Sales Agent. Chuck was an avid golfer, and could be found playing in his spare time. He and his wife had a love of the Texas Gulf Coast, especially the Valley area around Brownsville. Chuck is survived by his wife of 42 years, Louise E. Urbaniak; stepson, Curtis Brisch, and wife Barbara, Two grandsons, Allen H. Brisch, and Michael C. Brisch, and wife Karen, nieces Laura Marzewski, and Susan Wheeler, nephews Mark Detloff, Peter Urbaniak, John Urbaniak and David Urbaniak. A visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Monday, Dec. 2, at Forest Park-East, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002 at St. Laurence Catholic Church, at 11 A.M., corner of Sweetwater and Austin Parkway, Sugar Land, with Father Clancy, from Brownsville, Texas and Deacon Bob Dunham officiating. Internment will follow at Forest Park-East. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Assoc. of Houston, or St. Laurence Catholic Church. |
